Plot is data narratives.

Every chart is a story someone decided to tell: a dataset, a shape for it, a point they wanted you to leave with. Most places leave that decision out and let the chart stand in for the truth, which is exactly what makes data feel like something only experts get to have an opinion about. Every piece tries to say who wrote it, what dataset it came from, and why it's shaped the way it is, so you're part of figuring out what it means.

AI safety and AI ethics research show up here often, because that's where we spend our own working life, but the guiding principle is simpler: if a real dataset has an argument buried in it, and that argument lands better felt than read, it's a Plot piece.
